Celebration: The fifth annual San Antonio Founders Day TM, is Saturday, October 25, 2008.  Each October, our city celebrates its growth and development as a community from the 1700s until the present.  The opening musical tribute is 10:30 a.m. to noon in San Fernando Cathedral in historic downtown San Antonio.   This musical tribute will  feature the Children's Chorus of San Antonio and the University of the Incarnate Word music department.  San Antonio's own, Sonny Melendrez, is hosting the program.  Additional details will be available on this site at a later date.

Following the musical tribute, an afternoon of historical and cultural exhibits, musical and dance performances, and fun activities for kids of all ages are planned for our newly renovated and restored Main Plaza.  Activities are scheduled until 4:30 p.m.  All events are free and open to the public.
