Celebration 2010: The seventh annual San Antonio Founders Day TM, was Saturday, October 23, 2010. Each October, our city celebrates its growth and development as a community from the 1700s until the present.
The opening musical tribute was held at The Alamo in Alamo Hall. The musical tribute featured the Chamber Ensemble of the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio and celebrated the founding of San Antonio. Winners of the visual arts and essay scholarship contests were recognized.
An afternoon of historical and cultural exhibits, musical and dance performances, historical reenactments and fun activities for kids of all ages was held on the grounds of The Alamo and Alamo Plaza.
As in prior years, a Volksmarch was scheduled in conjunction with the event.
