San Antonio Founders Day supports the City of San Antonio's Going Green Project!
Some ways we can all help to make this event even greener, is to take the bus, walk in, ride your bike, or carpool with friends and neighbors to the Alamo, Saturday, October 22, 2011.
There is plenty of parking around the Alamo, and there are parking meters just a few blocks away that will allow parking for extended hours. Check them out.
VIA Transit has even more suggestions for getting downtown to the Alamo. See VIA Transit information here. At the VIA link you will find information about bus schedules and maps, plus bike and ride. There is an "Off Peak Special" so that seniors and riders with limited mobility can ride bus and streetcar service free all day on weekends, (w/ VIA ID). See more on the VIA website.
The Alamo is at the black arrow. Its address is 300 Alamo Plaza.
